Reservation rules.

BOOKING RULES

A player with a valid subscription can make one reservation per day for half a squash court. Members may only book a court for themselves. Therefore, they should not use another person's login, nor should they book at reception.

1. These rules relate to the possibility of booking a squash court online. As such, they supplement the regulations applicable at Sportclub Match & Eetcafe Thijs.

2. The ability to book via the internet is not a right but a privilege that may be withdrawn under certain circumstances. This occurs, for example, if ”just in case’ reservations are consistently made. To create optimal course availability, a pre-booked course may be moved to another course. The start time will not change as a result.

3. Registration in the system means that the player/participant concerned agrees that their address, playing, or usage data may be stored for possible use in the business operations of Sportclub Match & Eetcafe Thijs.

4. Sportclub Match & Eetcafe Thijs will never make this data available to third parties in any way. The factual keeper of the data is i-Reservations b.v., which must be regarded as the processor for Sportclub Match & Eetcafe Thijs, as referred to in the Data Protection Act.

5. Users of Baanreserveren.nl are referred to as players.

6. A reservation can only be made by a registered player. Players may only reserve a court for themselves. Therefore, do not use another person's login details. You can only reserve a court for yourself at reception.

7. To register, you must have a valid email address. This email address will be checked for validity at the time of registration. If players cannot show a membership card, we ask them to upload a convincing profile photo during the online booking process.

8. Players can be ‘casual‘ or ’members'. Casual players will be charged the standalone court hire fee.

A reserving player is expected to provide the details of their playing partner. The player can use a list of all other registered players, a list of people they have recently played with, or choose the option ‘playing partner is not a member’. In the latter case, the playing partner will be treated as a casual visitor and the standard court hire fee will apply.

10. Players will be treated based on their status at the time of play. If a membership expires between the time of booking and the time of play, a booking will not be refused, but the player concerned will be considered a ‘casual’ and the standard court hire fee will apply. If a member plays with a casual player, both will be charged their respective fees.

11. Players may book within a booking window of 10 days (i.e. ‘today’ to ‘nine days from today’).

12. For every reservation, the player and fellow player will each receive an email confirmation. This confirmation will state any costs incurred.

13. Bookings can also be cancelled online. This can be done up to 6 hours before the booked game time or 30 minutes after making the booking. No cancellation fees will be charged during this period. Within 30 minutes, the cost of the court booking will be refunded. After 30 minutes, the cost will be added as club credit to the player's account. Club credit is valid for 12 months, but can be extended by sending an email.

14. Cancellation fees are stored until one of the involved players makes another reservation. Then, the total reservation costs regarding a cancelled reservation (i.e. the costs for both players) will be charged to this player. Not signing in/checking in or not showing up? After three times, the point balance will be zero, and a player can no longer book online themselves and must call Match to provide clarification.

15. If a reservation is cancelled within 6 hours of the start time of the booked playing time, a cancellation fee will be charged. The cancellation fee will be equal to the cost of the individual court rental.

16. If a cancelled playing period is booked by other players, the cancellation fee will be forfeited. The system will send an email with this notification.

17. Checking in at the desk is compulsory before playing squash. If you have a named membership card, you can place it on the desk and proceed if we are busy, provided the (individual) court has been paid for. This is the advantage of having a membership card and paying the registration fee. Not having a membership card means you will have to wait for a staff member to check you in.

18. Playing singles on a court means paying for the other half of the court. A squash subscription is valid for half a court.

We do not recommend playing squash without booking in advance.
