With the ladder league at Match, you play 1 match every 2 weeks. At the start of each round, you will receive an email with the next match details. You have 2 weeks to play or schedule the match. You swap positions if you win against someone ranked higher. Too busy or injured? Then you skip a round. You can participate in the ladder league at any time.
