To the squashers and athletes of Match

Dear squash players and athletes of Match,

It will not have escaped your notice that quite a lot has been changing at Match recently. This is absolutely true. My name is Mathijs van Rijn, and I am the new owner of Sportcentrum Match.

The new name is: Sportclub Match & Eetcafé THIJS

I want to make the catering and squash/sports section of Match a thriving business. To ensure everything runs smoothly, a number of changes and new rules have been put in place. Click on us YouTube video(see also at the bottom) for further clarification regarding the renovation

The main changes/rules at a glance:

• The squash courts will be sanded and treated
• Internal walls will be repainted in due course
• A bar will be installed between Squash and Hospitality (see video for explanation)
• New furniture at the squash court
• Watching live sports on TVs (also 2 TVs at the squash court)
• Sportspeople will no longer be able to enter the hospitality area still sweating (once the new bar has been installed). This does not apply to the squash court.
• Squash prices have become simpler and cheaper
• A squash court, lesson or membership will be paid for in advance from now on.
• Shower and sauna facilities will also be given a “pimp”

I want to emphasise that everyone is welcome at Sportclub Match & Eetcafé THIJS. And I completely understand that some changes take time to sink in.
